Rozette Patterns
Bird Fight - Taken in the Basillica, this photo shows a lovely D1 pattern demonstrated by the symmetrical birds. These birds reside in some of the basillica's intricate gates.
D1
Intwined Flower, Circles, and Crosses - The giant floral-ish pattern in the middle of the circle surrounded by the four crosses, also in circles, paint one of the sections of the basillica's many elabrate ceiling pieces with a D2 rozette pattern. Also found in this photo is a P111 border pattern. The floral pattern bordering these four circles only has transition symmetry.
D2 - P111
Clover in a Circle - Found carved into one of the Basillica's door, there a few patterns represented in the photo. First, a D4 rozette pattern is found by the symmetrical shammrock in the middle, and a C4 if the circle surrounding it is considered. Also, a P112 border pattern is found etched in along the top, it only has 180 degree rotation.
D4 - C4 - P112
Red Serpents about a Cross - These lovely patterns may be found on the basillica's ceiling. First, note the D6 rozette pattern found near the top of the photo. Near the edges, a PMM2 border is found consisted of the diamonds and circles. This pattern has verticle and horizontal symmetry, as well as 180 degree rotation. Adjacent to this pattern is a PMA2 pattern, made of the wavey yellow and blow sections (for classification purposes, the colors have been ignored, however). This pattern has glide reflection, and 180 degree rotation, but that is all.
D6 - PMM2 - PMA2
8 Petal Flower -This photo taken of some of the Basillica's tiling demonstrates a simple D8 rozette pattern.
D8
The "In" Crowd - The lack of symmetry present in this section of Basillica ceiling shows a C1 rozette pattern.
C1
Twiney Cross - Considering this entire section of Basillica's ceiling, a C2 pattern may be found. The cross itself is a C4 pattern, but it is embedded in florals. These florals surrounding the twiney cross is what limits the cross to a C2 pattern. In particular, the small florals found at the top and bottom of the cross make the pattern a C2 pattern instead of a C4 pattern. Also, the crosses overlapping borders prevents the cross itself from being symmetrical.

Border Patterns
Papal Borders - Again on the Basillica's ceiling, as is obvious by the dangling light, amongst the many border patterns found, a PM11 patter is located just outside of the center rectangle with the papal sign and consists of the blue triangles. The pattern has verticle symmetry, spaced at half the transition length.
PM11
Many Winding Patterns - Concentrating on the border pattern along the outside working its way towards the middle, moving upward into a little circle with birds, one will note the P1M1 pattern. The border consists of little diamonds with rectangles lining the point of one side of the diamond figure. Hence, the purely horizontal symmetry.
P1M1
PMM2 - Refer to the "Red Serpents about a Cross" photo and one may see a PMM2 border pattern along the outside border. It consists of diamonds and circles.
P112 - A P112 pattern may been found at the top of the "Clover in a Circle" photo.
PMA2 - Also in the "Red Serpents about a Cross" photo, the PMA2 pattern resides in the border pattern skirting around the central images, the squiggly lines weaving ovular patterns.
P111 - In the "Intwined Flower, Circles, and Crosses" photo, a P111 pattern is located at the bottom, the vine and flower pattern.
Wallpaper Patterns
Torqois Squares - From spain, this wallpaper pattern shows the P4G pattern. A fourth order rotation is found at each of the torqois squares, and there is reflection, but no reflection at 45 degree angles.
P4G
Circles - Another grate found in the Basillica, this wallpaper pattern only has verticle reflection, making it a pm pattern.
PM
Diamonds - This pattern from the Basillica demonstrates a PMM wallpaper pattern. It was found along one of the walls.
PMM
Iron Crosses - Another gate pattern from the basillica, the photo depicts a P4 wallpaper pattern; there is fourth order rotation, but no rotation.
P4
Circle Plus - Yet another gate in the Basillica, a nice P4M pattern is found. It has four-fold symmetry, and mirror lines intersecting at 45 degree angles.
P4M
HoneyCombs - Even the heating vents at the Basillica have symmetry. Here, a six-fold symmetry is found with reflection, a P6M pattern.
P6M
Stars and Banner Things - This wallpaper found in Spain only possesses three-fold symmetry.
P3
Odd Shapes - This wallpaper found in spain has two fold symmetry. Aslo, it has glide reflections. This makes it a PGG wallpaper pattern.
PGG
Spain's Special - Another wallpaper found in spain, this pattern possess six-fold symmetry centered in the black hexagons. That is all.
